Optimum stability

The non-bound expanded clay fill is exceptionally compression-resistant and provides a high level of thermal insulation. It can be used anywhere where a strong, stable substrate that is resistant to both frost and fire is required. Liapor Ground is made of a mixture of spherical and crushed porous ceramic expanded clay granules with a grain size of 1-16 mm. As a dimensionally stable material, it ensures outstanding stability and a compression resistance of 14 MN/m². Combined with a thermal conductivity value of 0.12 W/mK, this makes Liapor Ground the perfect solution for insulating base plates, backfilling excavated sites and work trenches as well as for the construction of swimming pools. As a strong, stable building material that is resistant to both frost and fire, Liapor Ground has also proven itself as a subsoil substitute, for example during the renovation of contaminated ground.

Simple, cost-effective application

Liapor Ground can be applied extremely quickly and flexibly and with a low level of compaction using a bottom discharge truck or by means of air injection from a silo truck. In this way, the expanded clay granules can be injected into even the smallest nooks and crannies. As a result, a worker can handle approximately 50 cubic metres of Liapor Ground inside two hours. Last but not least, the burnt expanded clay is a pure natural, ecologically responsible product that is fully recyclable.
