When Liadrain/Liaflor is used as a cover layer over the top of normal soil, in particular in plant pots, the moisture is retained better in the earth. Thanks to the many air gaps in the clay granules, excess moisture is absorbed and stored and is then released again when the plants need it. Liadrain/Liaflor guarantees that the plants are correctly supplied with water and nutrients and that they are adequately aerated. The product prevents waterlogging and the formation of mould. Liadrain/Liaflor is a purely mineral, open-pored product that can store more than 76 percent of its dry weight. Even when the material is saturated, the balanced distribution of granule sizes ensures an outstanding soil-air content at all times. Use 3–6 centimetres of Liadrain as both the bottom and top layer in the pot.
