The splash guards extend five metres above the level of the car park and had to be particularly lightweight. The weight-saving solution was a Liapor lightweight concrete LC 40/44 which has a bulk density of 1,700 kg/m3. The six-metre long and 2.50-metre wide semi-prefabricated elements were installed in pairs to achieve the desired width of five metres. To make it possible to subsequently concrete over the semi-prefabricated elements in situ, Liapor lightweight concretes LC 25/28 to LC 35/38 with bulk densities between 1,600 and 1,800 kg/m3 were chosen.
