Innovative construction with Liapor modules

Apartment building in Monheim

Liapor concrete of strength class C 25/30 XC1 with a bulk density of 2.01 kg/dm³ was used for the modules of this apartment building in Monheim, which has a total living area of 698 m², and Liapor F 6.5 (2-10 mm) expanded clay granules were also used. The concrete for the 38 modules was produced by the Dahmit concrete plant in the company's own mixing equipment. In total, approximately 400 m³ of Liapor concrete was applied. The largest modules possess a surface area of eight by thirteen and a half metres at a height of three metres and a wall thickness of ten centimetres. The use of heat-insulating Liapor prefabricated elements, a 20-cm thick composite thermal insulation system and triple-glazed windows and doors ensure compliance with the KfW 40 energy standard.
