Green roof for the Schlössle-Galerie

For logistical reasons, it was important for the planners of this roof garden that all the bulk material could be pumped onto the roof using compressed air in order to avoid the difficulties associated with transporting it by crane or hoist. Thanks to its low weight of 325 kilograms per cubic metre, the approximately 1,600 cubic metres of Liadrain of grain size 2/10 were applied by compressed-air hose in stages directly from the silo wagon at the rate of 40 cubic metres per hour over a period of less than three months.
